The One Thing Every Traveler Will Soon Need When Flying
Starting on May 7, 2025, all U.S. travelers must have a Real ID to fly domestically — or a passport. The change was supposed to have started in May 2023 but was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Real ID is basically a super secure driver’s license or ID card. According to a story by CBS News, “The Real ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, establishes minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses, permits, and ID cards.”
