Why Retirees Are Seeking Out Small Town Life

There’s something to be said for adopting a slower pace of life during retirement. According to Travel & Leisure, more and more retirees are looking for that, along with a more affordable lifestyle. That’s why small towns are so sought after.
It cites the results of a survey by Investopedia of the 100 Best U.S. Cities for Retirees in 2026. Using factors such as affordability, health care access, community events, and other factors to determine which towns made the list, it identified quaint small towns such as Homosassa Springs, Florida, Lewes, Delaware, Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Pomeroy, Washington.
The Seniors Trust is committed to helping older Americans through the passage of the Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual COLA, increased minimum benefits, and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
