Retirees, their Investment Portfolios, and Electric Cars
CNBC reports that some retirees are concerned how the the changing landscape of the car market, for example, might affect their investment portfolio.
With retirees living longer these days, they are looking for investment income that will last 20 or 30 years – and many fear for their investments in fossil fuels will decline in coming years as we shift to other types of energy and electric cars.
It is evident retirees are concerned about their financial futures. That’s why The Seniors Trust is working so hard to protect Social Security to make sure it’s there for all retirees – today and tomorrow. This can be accomplished if Congress passes the Social Security Expansion Act. If passed, this legislation will make four major changes to Social Security for retirees: increase monthly benefits, establish a fair COLA, reduce senior poverty, and guarantee the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
