It’s Time To Test Your Social Security Knowledge
Millions of older Americans receive Social Security retirement benefits, yet most people do not understand how the program works. CNBC shared the results of a MassMutual survey that polled people on how much they know about Social Security. Almost 80 percent of respondents ages 55 to 65 failed or barely passed the 13-question true or false quiz. Less than one percent earned a perfect score. Maybe it’s time to test your Social Security knowledge and see how you score.
The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the financial well-being of America’s retirees through passage of The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), increased minimum benefits, and will ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
