Tips To Keep Seniors Safe Behind the Wheel

As we age, our eyesight worsens and our reaction times slow, making driving a bit more challenging. That doesn’t mean you have to give up your keys and lose your independence.
A spokesperson for AAA Northeast shared some safe driving tips for seniors with Mid-Hudson News, serving the Hudson Valley and Catskill Region of New York. He suggested doing regular stretching routines for your arms, shoulders, elbows, and hands to extend your range of motion and increase your ability to get around behind the wheel.
He also suggested enrolling in a safe driving course specifically for seniors. By passing one of these refresher courses, you could potentially save money on your auto insurance.
The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the physical and financial well-being of older Americans. We are working diligently to get Congress to enact the Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual COLA, increased minimum benefits, and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
