Coronavirus shuts down Social Security offices

As of March 17, 2020, all local Social Security offices will be closed. Business will be conducted online or over the phone until further notice. For more information, check out the official press release from the Social Security Administration.

With the situation constantly changing and all the misinformation that is being spread, it’s important to make sure the news you’re relying on is coming from a credible source.

The CDC is a great resource and has put together a quick reference page for those at high risk (older adults and those with serious medical conditions).

Some stores, including several grocery stores and dollar stores, have implemented special shopping hours for their older clientele. This allows those at greater risk from COVID-19 to avoid the crowds while still meeting their shopping needs.
