Listen Up! Here’s How to Get All Your Audiobooks for Free
Record high inflation has many people cutting entertainment expenses. Here’s a trick to save you money if you are an avid reader or someone who likes to listen to books while exercising or driving — check out your local library.
Everyone knows that you can borrow books, but did you know you can also access audiobooks for free? That’s right. Consumer Reports recommends downloading audiobooks from your local library to enjoy the latest bestsellers, as well as classic literature and book club picks at no cost.
Checking out audiobooks from the library is a similar process to borrowing a physical book. You must have an active library card and your loan is only for a certain number of days. And, just like “real” books, there can be a waiting list to access new releases.
Check out your local library webpage for instructions on how to download audiobooks.
