America’s Top City for Retirees is a Place Grandkids Will Love to Visit
Orlando is known as the “theme park capital of the world,” but a Yahoo! Life article says this city in central Florida is also a top retirement destination. WalletHub just named it the #1 city in America for retirement, based on metrics including quality of life, affordability, activities, and health care.
Ranked highest on the list of 182 cities (followed by Miami and Minneapolis), Orlando was recognized for the “plethora of recreational activities” for retirees, the “quality and number of gerontologists and home health care facilities per capita” and its tax-friendliness.
The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the lives of America’s retirees through the passage of The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), and increased minimum benefits. This bill will also ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
