Grease was the perfect choice for a production by the Golden Years Theater Company in Waterbury, Connecticut. Its cast and crew are comprised of senior citizens — many of whom grew up in the ’50s alongside the likes of Sandy, Danny and the rest of the Rydell High crew. According to Patch.com, Golden Years’ mission is to offer the senior community a chance to perform on stage or behind the scenes in a live theatrical production and have fun, regardless of their abilities or inabilities. The show received rave reviews with members of the audience filling the aisles to dance the Hand Jive.

The Seniors Trust wants older Americans to live their best lives and one of the best ways to do that is to improve their financial well-being. We want Congress to enact The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), increased minimum benefits, and this bill will ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
