More Tour Companies Now Cater to Disabled Travelers

Limited mobility, hearing loss, and vision impairment are common ailments we face as we age. Just because you suffer from one or more of these disabilities, doesn’t mean you can no longer travel and see the world. Conde Nast Traveler discovered that a growing number of tour companies are now focusing on this market, creating action-packed experiences for those facing accessibility issues as well as their travel companions. They offer a variety of special accommodations allowing wheelchair users to horseback ride, ski, and even hike Machu Picchu, in addition to arranging special permission from museums so clients can touch and feel the articles on display.

  • Hi,

Thanks very much for letting us know about your post on Twitter.
It is great to see more tourism being possible with accessibility and inclusion.
We help tourism businesses get their accessibility information together and also have community forums for travellers.

    I am also blind myself.

    Dale.
