This is the Healthiest State for Retirees Three Years Running

Seniors seeking a healthy and fulfilling retirement may want to move to Utah. According to an article by Travel & Leisure, for the past three years, the Beehive State has been top-ranked when it comes to the health and well-being of America’s elderly. It received high marks for its low poverty rate and strong social support. Utah is also noted for its access to five national parks and over 40 state parks, making it easy for retirees to stay active.
United Health Foundation’s Senior Report uses 35 metrics including social and economic factors, physical environment, behaviors, clinical care, and health outcomes to rank all 50 states. At the top of the list was Utah, followed by Colorado, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Minnesota. Coincidentally, Mississippi ranked lowest for the third consecutive year.
The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the lives of America’s retirees through the passage of The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), and increased minimum benefits. This bill will also ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
