During the early part of the pandemic, we heard about “super spreaders” — people who had Covid-19 and went into a group situation spreading it to many others. Now, during the third year of living with Covid, we’re learning about “super dodgers” — those people who’ve been able to avoid contracting coronavirus.
According to a report by NBC10 Boston, scientists are now looking into whether these individuals have a natural biological protection from the virus. It may be a strong immune system at work or simply that they’ve been vaccinated, protect themselves by wearing masks in public, or they had an asymptomatic case and never realized they had the virus. With the new highly contagious variants still spreading, doctors urge everyone to remain vigilant.
