There seems to be a growing consensus that Americans need to bolster their retirement savings accounts. StreetInsider.com just revealed the results of a 2025 Retirement Readiness Report that found “nearly half (48 percent) of U.S. workers believe they’ll need at least $1 million to retire comfortably—up from 37 percent in 2024.” Only 27 percent of those surveyed say they think they will reach that goal.

This is a clear indication that the vast majority of hard-working Americans will struggle financially throughout retirement. The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the financial well-being of older Americans through the passage of the Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), increased minimum benefits, and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
