For anyone who dreams of traveling the world once they retire, the thought of retiring on a cruise ship might sound appealing. But as Investopedia discovered, the concept is not just for the rich and famous!

Living on a cruise ship can be quite affordable when you consider the average annual cost of renting a stateroom on a cruise ship is about $78,000. Keep in mind that includes all your food and entertainment. However, there are additional expenses you need to factor in such as gratuities, Wi-Fi service, laundry, and medical care. Not to mention you’ll want to budget money for shore excursions so you can explore all the wonderful ports of call you will be visiting.

The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the lives of America’s retirees through the passage of The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), and increased minimum benefits. This bill will also ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
