With the cost of living continuing to rise, many retirees may be looking to relocate to help stretch their Social Security benefit payments further. A new report by AOL says you could get more bang for your buck in some European cities. It suggests moving to Riga, Latvia; Belgrade, Serbia; Athens, Greece; Zagreb, Croatia; Bari, Italy; Split, Croatia; Warsaw, Poland; and Prague, Czechia.

With the average Social Security retirement check being about $4,000 per month, in these eight European cities, you can afford rent and expenses and still have money left over to enjoy your new home.

The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the financial well-being of older Americans through the passage of the Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), increased minimum benefits, and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
