It’s no secret that Social Security can be confusing to many seniors. According to Forbes, there are more than 3,000 rules in the Social Security handbook. Couple that with all the misconceptions floating around and you can clearly see why so many people struggle to make sense of it all.

With more than 64 million retirees relying on the Social Security for their retirement income, AARP set out to debunk ten of the most common myths. It’s an interesting read that reveals the truth behind rumors such as “you could lose your benefits if you work.”
