Not to rain on your parade if you planned on spending your retirement in the Sunshine State, but Finance Buzz says there are better options than Florida for seniors looking to save money. It came up with a list of 15 states that offer sizable tax savings, more affordable housing, and some even have beautiful beaches and warm weather just like you would find in Florida.

If you’re thinking of moving, you might want to consider Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wyoming.

The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the financial well-being of America’s retirees through passage of The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), increased minimum benefits, and will ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
