If you have not contracted Covid-19 yet, consider yourself lucky. It’s been pretty hard to avoid, especially with the highly contagious Omicron variant. Many people are getting Covid-19 for the second and even third times. Doctors warn that can be dangerous.

CNN Health reported on a study by the VA Health System that found repeatedly catching Covid-19 appears to increase the chances that a person will face new and sometimes long-lasting health problems after their infection. Researchers compared patients who had just one Covid-19 infection with those who had two or more documented infections and found those who had multiple cases of Covid-19 had more than twice the risk of dying and three times the risk of being hospitalized within six months of their last infection. They also had higher risks for lung and heart problems, fatigue, digestive and kidney disorders, diabetes and neurologic problems.
