The Social Security Administration (SSA) has redesigned its public website, SSA.gov. It’s all in an effort to become more user-friendly.

According to the acting director of the SSA, the update was made to better help people understand what benefit amount they may qualify for and to help “seamlessly transition them to an application process.” An article by Think Advisor, says the site’s new self-service capabilities will help people avoid needing to call or visit a Social Security office.

The SSA plans to continue to tweak the website over the coming months. New pages and improvements based on public feedback will continue to be unveiled.

The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the financial well-being of America’s retirees through passage of The Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) and increased minimum benefits.
