There’s no denying that Taylor Swift has a huge fan base. Swifties, as they are commonly called, are a diverse group, but probably none stands out as much as the 95-year-old resident of an Omaha retirement community.

In an Optimist article published by the Washington Post, Frank Uryasz, Jr., says he was first introduced to Swift’s music by his occupational therapist during a therapy session. He was unfamiliar with her music but did know who she was because of her appearances at Kansas City Chiefs football games, cheering on her now-fiancé, Travis Kelce.

Uryasz says he connected with her song “Timeless (Taylor’s Version),” a love story that transcends time, because it reminded him of his 70-year love story with his wife, who passed away in 2019.

His love for Swift quickly spread to other residents, and he is now president of a 100-member fan club. As one of his official duties, he wrote a letter to the singer-songwriter inviting her to join them for BINGO.

The Seniors Trust is committed to improving the lives and financial well-being of older Americans through the passage of the Social Security Expansion Act. It will give retirees an immediate benefits increase of about $200 a month, a fair annual COLA, increased minimum benefits, and ensure the long-term solvency of the Social Security program.
