Four friends, who graduated high school together in the 1950s, have become known as the modern-day Golden Girls after reuniting in a California senior living community. According to the Daily Mail, the women all went their separate ways after graduation from Mount Saint Mary Academy, establishing their careers and families, but recently reunited 75 years later at the retirement home. They eat their meals together and meet up for different activities like movie nights and musical performances, as well as reminiscing about their school days.

Although they’re now living out their golden years together, like the characters on the hit TV sitcom The Golden Girls, they prefer to call themselves the “Silver Girls.”
